Author, Derrick Hanson
Derrick Hanson

Derrick Hanson has had an unusually wide experience of business life, in finance, in commerce and, to a degree, in industry. As a senior banker he had the responsibility for what became known as financial services – indeed, he was on occasions referred to as the father of the financial services revolution. In later years, he was Chairman of a Building Society, an Investment Trust, and chairman or director of numerous other companies in the industrial and retail sectors.

Derrick Hanson is a former Trustee and Chairman of the Christian Arts Trust, a former Health Authority Chairman and the Inaugural President of the Banking Teachers Association. He is a Barrister and a graduate of London, Liverpool and Lancaster Universities and an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
